In childhood I studied violin 8 years with Montclair, NJ teachers. My orchestral experience includes the St. Louis Philharmonic, Westerville Symphony, and Columbus Women's Symphony, both in Ohio. I began my violin business in Columbus, Ohio in 1992 and moved to Asheville in 2002. Some notable bookings in NC: I perform yearly at The Biltmore Estate “Festival of Flowers” and “Candlelight Christmas”. I’ve also performed at the Biltmore Inn, Grove Park Inn, Corporate Christmas parties at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, and Saline’s catering. I provided pre-show lobby entertainment at the Asheville Community Theater’s “Fiddler On the Roof” production.
I perform at many weddings and receptions and at Deerfield and
other Retirement/healthcare facilities.
In November 2003 at Patch Adams’ invitation, I joined him and 44
others from 11 countries, spreading love and healing (via clowning
and my violin music) to suffering children in orphanages and
hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia; a life-changing
experience! Patch is a physician, clown, and Gesundheit Institute
founder. Robin Williams played Patch in the 1998 film, “Patch
Adams.”
Some unique Ohio experiences: I was a music provider in a Musicare program bringing music to leukemia patients at James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. I also performed at twice/year Healing Weekends for HIV/AIDS infected and affected people, sponsored by the AIDS ministries of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. In June 2002 I was honored by being inducted into the Columbus, Ohio Senior Musician’s Hall of Fame.
